FAQ's

What types of insurances do you accept?
Seacoast Imaging accepts all insurances. Some insurances however require pre-authorization before your scan can begin. Your physician's office is responsible to get these authorizations prior to ordering your scan. Even though we do accept all insurance plans, please call your insurance company before you arrive for your study to get specific information about your plan.

What if I have a Motor Vehicle Accident claim?
If you have a Motor Vehicle Accident claim you will need insurance pre-authorization. You will also need the following information: The automobile insurance company name and address, the claim #, date of the accident and the auto insurance adjuster's name and phone number. Also, if you are working with an attorney, you must bring a signed lien from the attorney with you.

What if I have a Workers Compensation claim?
If you have a Workers Compensation claim we will need the W/C insurance company name, address and phone number, the claim #, and the date of injury. Your physician's office will also need this information in order to retrieve the authorization. Seacoast Imaging will only call to verify this information, not to get it authorized for the scan.

What if I am unsure about my insurance company's policy coverage?

Seacoast Imaging asks that all patients carefully check with your insurance company to determine what specifically is covered and what might not be covered under your particular plan. We receive updates almost daily from all insurance companies about changes in insurance coverage for each plan.  The payment of any scan will become the patients’ responsibility if your insurance company denies the coverage due to the nature of the plan.  Please give your insurance company a call if you have any uncertainty or questions prior to your scan to avoid payment out of your pocket.

Please bring your insurance card with you on the day of your appointment so that we may scan it into our system. If your insurance company requires a co-pay, we will not be collecting it on the day of your scan. You will receive a statement in the mail 2-3 weeks after your scan for payment.
